Diagnostics and nanotechnologies for cultural heritage

Along the objectives of the Regional project ADAMO addressed to the development and demonstration of technologies for cultural heritage, topics relevant to application of nanotechnologies will be presented and discussed in comparison with other alternative methodologies. The expected benefits, relevant to the effectiveness of products both in conservation of historical material and in contrast to bio-degradation, will be evaluated with respect to environmental risks associated to their misuse or accidental dispersion in the environment. The role of in situ diagnostics will be stressed in all cases.
