Innovation in Environmental Nanotechnology

A great socio-economic value may be generated through the exploitation of Nanotechnology, which is through Nanotechnology-based innovation. The pervasive, transversal nature of Nanotechnology, the characteristic Nanotechnology value chain 1 , the business models portfolio, the availability of infrastructures and standards, safety issues and other peculiar aspects of Nanotechnology require a clear evaluation of the right innovation approach to be pursued in order to properly turn value out of Nanotechnology.
