Photonics and quantum optics - part 2
Photonic technologies are becoming prevalent in our daily lives and are considered to play also a crucial role in the development of quantum technologies. Indeed all the principle quantum technologies envisioned or developed like atomic clocks, quantum sensors, quantum communication, quantum cryptography, quantum simulation or quantum communication in many cases are based on photonic technologies. Aim of the workshop is to give a glimpse on resent research in the field of quantum optics and integrated quantum photonics. Recent advances in development of material platforms for quantum photonics, developments of state of the art components and devices will be given. The seminars will cover a wide range of arguments from entangled photon generation, research on single photon emitters, generation of random quantum numbers, up to systems for quantum sensing and quantum metrology
