Round Table: Funding strategies and policies for technology parks and nanotechnology centres
Enabling technologies, such as nanotechnologies, are increasingly important for industrial development in all manufacturing and consumer sectors. The complex and pervasive character of these technologies requires close cooperation between public and private research, in order to bridge the gap from basic and applied research to prototyping and marketing. Universities, research and technology centers, clusters, companies, business and financing organization need to network and work together to identify suitable pathways for exploitation of these technologies. The round table will allow to compare and discuss experiences from different countries across the world, to stimulate cooperation across technologies, disciplines, sectors and countries. The session will also provide the opportunity to present the international delegation organized by the Italian Trade Commission and hosted by the NanoInnovation 2019 Conference.
